Protecting Your Family
For many of us protecting the car, house contents and mobile phone is done without thought. However protecting the most important part of the family, the "breadwinner" is often overlooked or deemed too expensive. Family protection should be regularly reviewed to ensure every part of protecting the family is considered.
What is the service?
Family Protection normally involves:
Reviewing existing arrangements including employee benefits;
Checking nominations and trusts to ensure that death benefits are payable quickly and to those intended.
Considering the ill health benefits under contracts of employments and existing policies.
Why you may need it
With more families relying on more than one "breadwinner", taking time to review existing arrangements can be a low priority in a busy household. Understanding and appreciating what you have and what may be unnecessary can be an important part of our service.
How does it work?
We will sit down with you to review your current situation and help you plan to protect your income and family. This might include:
Your families income and commitments;
Your existing protection and trust arrangements;
Reviewing your short and long term plans including retirement and possible inheritances;
Other issues may include child benefit, family tax credit, wills and lasting power of attorney.
Many families find financial matters both daunting and difficult to understand. Our aim is to work with you, over a long-term relationship, so that you receive a greater understanding and appreciation of your financial affairs.
